Summary of LOB/group:

The AP Bookkeeping technology team maintains the books and records of the firm. All activity that affects client balances and holdings are processed through AP system. The application processes almost 200 different data feeds a night from various LOB s throughout the firm. In addition, AP technology performs margin calculations and reporting for the business.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Supports technology projects and prod support items for the Brokerage AP bookkeeping system. Writes technology project requirements (HLD’s) based on discussions of business needs. Upon project completion, will assemble additional documentation (LLD’s, flow charts etc) as needed. In addition this position will have the responsibility of logging prod support inquiries as well tracking them through their research and completion. Successful candidate will work well with the project team members on all phases of initiatives.

Required skills:
Bachelors Degree
5 years of experience with a heavy concentration in project lifecycle and requirement writing
Mainframe/Cobol knowledge
Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong background interacting with business clients/users
Strong communication skills

Desired:
Prior experience in brokerage bookkeeping and margin is a significant plus
