Role/Responsibilities Objective: Moody’s Investor Services (MIS) seeks a Software Engineer, with a strong focus on development of analytic tools.The Software Engineer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of analytic tools used by analysts during the ratings process.    He/she will be working with a small but capable team to deliver and support these custom applications.

Strong C# and web development skills will be essential to the success in this position.   In general, the candidate should have strong exposure to the Microsoft stack.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Supporting existing and future applications
  • Assisting developers in the creation of applications
  • Converting common functionality of existing client side applications to Web services
  • Involved in all aspects of the product life cycle: requirements gathering, documentation, design, development, QA, implementation, and maintenance and support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and experience developing with C# (through .NET 4.0)
  • Strong knowledge and experience developing web applications
  • In depth knowledge and experience building and working with relational databases (MS Access, Sybase, SQL Server, DB2)
  • Knowledge of VBA
  • Knowledge of Java a plus
  • Experience with agile software development
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Passionate about solving problems in the simplest and most efficient way
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities

Application developer to work with a team of developers in the support and build out of the Primebrokerage Operations platform for Prime Brokerage. Requirements

Information technology professional, with hands-on Application Design and Development experience.

–              5+ year of experience in Java/JEE technologies

–              Ability to work under tight time constraints with changing requirements

–              Knowledge of design patterns.

–              Agile Software development lifecycle skills

–              BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

–              Experience in financial industry is a plus

–              Excellent communication skills

–              Prior Operations or PrimeBrokerage experience is helpful
