The hybrid project manager/business analyst position will need to be responsible for the following:
• Gathering and documenting functional requirements

Experience/Education:
• Hands on project manager with end-to-end experience with a large scale development project and firm understanding of the development life cycle.
• Work closely with business partners to define strategies for technical solutions, determine requirements, and develop functional designs based on the analysis of line of business needs, objectives and existing systems infrastructure.
• Ability to work with the business client through meetings and interviews to elicit and document all system requirements in a BRS/SRS a must.
• Applies technical knowledge in determining end to end design requirements for large projects involving line of business, software/hardware developers and vendors.
• Drives and participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies.
• Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve customer needs.
• Works under minimal supervision on enterprise wide projects requiring creative solutions.
• Responsibilities can include the management of project budget.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies on the middle tier with COBOL/DB2 on the back end.
• Familiarity with financial services industry a must.
• Knowledge of fixed income products along with general knowledge of other security products.
• 4 Year IT degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of applicable experience.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Formal Education & Certification:
*    College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer
Science/Engineering or Information Systems (Master’s degree preferred).
*    7+ years of experience in Object Oriented Development.
*    Strong experience in Java Development, J2EE, SQL and Oracle.
*    Unix experience a solid plus.
*    Strong EDI knowledge and experience.

Knowledge & Experience:
*    10 years of work experience.
*    Extensive experience in developing and deploying strategic systems
architecture plans.
*    Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
*    Proven experience in systems and network design and development.
*    Strong understanding of IT principles and practices including ITIL
methodologies.
*    Solid grounding in core enterprise applications, including Oracle
Business Intelligence environments and strong EDI background and working

*    Expert knowledge of programming languages, including Java & PHP.
*    Hands-on experience with application development tools.

Job Description

You will be an integral part of a team enhancing IBM Rational PurifyPlus, a best of breed, Dynamic Software Analysis tool. PurifyPlus identifies runtime memory errors, untested code, and performance bottlenecks in C/C++, and .NET applications. You will be part of the UNIX team which supports AIX, Linux, Solaris, and HP-UX. Specific areas of focus will include the instrumentation engine (component for inserting code into an ELF or XCOFF object file) and run-time support library (component for collecting data used to monitor an application’s behavior while it is executing).

You must be comfortable debugging at the assembly level. You must have a solid understanding of memory management, threads, signals and exception handling. You must have a solid understanding of at least one of the following architectures: POWER, x64, SPARC.
