Our client in downtown NYC is seeking a FIX Connectivity Java Developer for a full-time role.

Requirements:

  • Maintain client-to-client/broker FIX(4.2,4.4) connection
  • Experience working with various FIX engine like Eltrader
  • Developed connections to enable brokers and clients for Strategy, Multi asset and Algorithmic trading
  • FIX customization and FIX messages analysis/debugging
  • Created UNIX shell scripts to troubleshoot applications
  • Fixed bugs , maintained and added new features to the existing system
  • Interacted with customer facing teams, sales and client support to provide quick response to client’s needs.
  • Resolved production failures support and analysis
  • Troubleshooted FIX connectivity issues and session-and-application-level messaging errors
  • Experience in working with VeriFIX, an end to end FIX testing tool
  • Implemented different aspects of basket trading (pairs trading, multi-leg option,and algorithmic trading) Instrument
  • Business Exposure: Equities , FX , Futures, Algorithmic trading, FIX (4.2 ,4.4)

Job Requirement

IBM Mainframe Developer:

Developer will be developing Cobol/DB2/CICS modules in IBM mainframe environment.

Candidates should have

7+ years hands on development exerience in COBOL/DB2/CICS.
Strong fundamentals in IBM/BMC/SPUFI utilities for ad hoc developing ad hoc SQLs and queries.
Experince in using debugging tools, strong debugging skills

Strong communication skills, analytical skills

Candidate should be a self-starter who can work under minimal guidance. Should be able to understand business/technical requirements and be able to design, develop and test the software applications/modules. Production support also will need to be provided.

Should have some experience with Merrill Lynch / BOA. Prefer to have experience with Client and Account Data.
